Capsicum ki Sabji - How to make Capsicum Sabji Recipe

Capsicum ki Sabji or Capsicum Kurma - A rich gravy recipe tastes best with puri and chapathi or roti and better with rice and sambar combination. This dish can be made in different variations. I have used peanuts and gingelly seeds to make thick gravy. We can also use cashews, poppy seeds, coconut also to make other gravy variations. Today we will learn this simple and easy recipe of capsicum sabji or sabzi.

Capsicum ki Sabji

  Capsicum ki Sabji - Ingredients

1. Green Capsicum - 1 Big (finely diced)
2. Onion - 1 small (finely chopped)
3. Tomatoes - 1 big (finely diced)
4. Curry leaves - few
5. Coriander leaves - few
6. Peanuts - 1/2 cup
7. Gingelly seeds - 1/2 cup
8. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
9. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
10. Oil - 2 tbsps
11. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
12. Red chilli powder - 2 tsps
13. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
14. Cumin Powder - 1/4 tsp
15. Salt - To taste

How to make Capsicum Sabji Recipe - Procedure

1. Dry roast peanuts, gingelly seeds and grind them to a coarse powder

2. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard and cumin seeds. Let them splutter

3. Add onion pieces, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste, tomato pieces and saute

4. Add capsicum pieces and fry for about 5 to 10 minutes

5. Now add the ground paste, salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder and saute

6. Add 2 cups of water and let it cook till the gravy thickens.
