Dhadhojanam is a traditional flavoured rice cooked especially at times of pujas and vrathams in A.P.


1. Steamed Rice-1 cup
2. Curd-1/2 cup
3. Salt-as per taste
4. Oil-3 tsps
5. Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp
6. Black Peppercorns-5 to 6
7. Red Chillies-4
8. Curry leaves-few


1. Cook rice and allow it to cool down completely
2. When rice cools down add curd and salt to it and mix well
3. Heat oil in a small pan
4. When oil gets heated add mustard seeds, black peppercorns, red chillies and curry leaves one after the other and allow them to splitter
5. Now switch off the flame and transfer them to the rice mixed with curd and salt and mix well


1.Salt and Black peppercorns give a special tasty touch to dhadhojanam
